MATT's Trip
to umbria
March/april 2005

Umbria is called the "green heart of Italy," and is a delightful region of hilltop towns overlooking fertile plains. I rented a car at the Rome airport and drove north. I spent two nights in Orvieto, two nights in Siena (which is actually in Tuscany), then a week in Spoleto (where my conference took place), and finally four nights in Perugia, visiting different towns in the region during the day.
